Who is responsible
Sound District BV, Stadswaag 20, 2000 Antwerp, Belgium (VAT BE 1023.309.121) is responsible for the personal data described here. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to team@sounddistrict.be.
What we use and why
When you book, we use your name, email address, optional phone number, session details and optional project note to check availability, take payment, create and manage the booking, communicate with you and meet accounting or legal obligations. The legal bases are steps requested before entering into a contract, performance of the booking contract, legal obligations and our legitimate interest in securing and administering the service.
Service providers
Stripe processes checkout and payment information. Google Calendar stores the session time and the booking details needed by our team. Our hosting and infrastructure providers process technical data needed to operate and secure the website. These providers may process data outside the European Economic Area using recognised transfer safeguards. Payment details are handled by Stripe and are not stored in this website’s own database.
Read the Stripe Privacy Policy and Google Privacy Policy for their own processing practices.
Retention
Booking and communication data is kept only as long as needed to provide and administer the session, normally no longer than 24 months after the session. Payment, invoice and transaction records may be kept longer where tax, accounting, fraud-prevention or other legal rules require it. Temporary calendar holds are removed after they expire.
Cookies and automated decisions
The Sound District website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Stripe may use cookies and automated fraud checks on its secure checkout pages. Sound District does not itself make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated means.
Your rights
Depending on the situation, you can ask to access, correct, erase, restrict or transfer your data, or object to certain processing. You may also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority. Contact us first at team@sounddistrict.be so we can help.
